I was initially naked.  I admit this only because I thought it'd be a really fun picture to do and show off all the amazing meshy goodies I have to show.  Alas, the longer I looked at it the more I felt I needed to cover my bits up lol.  So, I ended up putting a bra on and choosing a pose that kept my lady parts covered up.  This amazing necklace and earring set comes in several colors as well as a pack full of variety.  I've seen it on blogs worn casual and also very fancified so its clearly versatile and what I like most is that it's different.  Its not an overly complicated design but still works with many different styles while still looking fresh and new.

The creators of [HANDverk] are a team, and also create furniture.  For the launch of FaMESHed they released not only the jewelry sets but this couch and clock as well.  This couch reminds me of Austin Powers movies…not gonna lie.  Its so retro to me, and I initially as I mentioned earlier…had planned to be sprawled across it buck naked.  Oh well, maybe next time!  For now, you're going to want to high tail it to FaMESHed before the May cycle is over!  There's about a week to grab everything you took home to demo and forgot to run back and buy.  A week to fall in love with new mesh and take it home with you.  I personally can't wait for next month.  Who knows who'll be there and what they are going to have for us all!?

Culture Shock!

I am a huge animal lover.  I am also deathly allergic to cats and dogs.  It's a huge downer, I drive myself nuts looking at photos of various animals online that I wish I could own, and know I never can.  Even with the allergy shots, I can end up in the ER particularly around cats.  I still dare to dream, even though I can never have one.  So, on Plurk last week when I saw Intrigue, Co's message about needing help with her cat Shadow IRL I properly did the pouty face and decided to go grab what Katherine had put out to help raise funds for her precious pet.

Not asking for outright donations, she has put out 3 items that you can donate toward.  A mere 10L or more donation gets you one of the three items!  Also, the PJ's come with a box for females and one for men so guyssss…suit up!  I mean, that's a hell of a bargain and if you're feeling generous you can donate as much as you like per item.  This here 'Roo PJ is one of the items and there was also a Ram but…I thought I made a better Kangaroo for the photos.  Cute, right!?

Cinco de Mayo is special for me for two reasons.  None of which have anything to do with the actual holiday lol, but such is life.  I'm not Mexican, but I know a lot of my family get properly smashed in celebration of our south of the border neighbors.  First of all, my very good friend that drug me into SL and then left without a second though (yep, guilt trip Buggy!) her birthday is today!  The other reason it is significant for me is 3 years ago today, I began blogging after a lot of coercion from Aeris.  I've of course, taken a few breaks here and there where I haven't blogged for a bit but for the most part I've found blogging to be very fun and a constant learning experience.

What I've learned the most about blogging is it isn't always about the photo.  A clean, clear photograph without all the fancy stuffs can be just as powerful but the extra things can be a lot of fun to play with.  Also, I like blogging simply to blog.  I appreciate the views, the people that take the time to read all my nonsense and the lovely comments I get from time to time.  I'd still do it if I didn't have that though, its just fun to me to be creative in this way.  I've met a few fellow bloggers and they inspire me to be better, to do more.  That's a beautiful thing, and I'm happy to be a part of a community like that.

I don't know how much longer I may or may not continue to blog, but I know that the last 3 years have been awesome.  I've learned so much and continue to learn more everyday.  Covering events, new releases, working with fellow bloggers…blog challenges.  It all makes it a pretty awesome experience.

I've got to thank a fellow blogger for my photo location today, Alicia Chenaux who is also a FaMESHed blogger did a post last night while I was searching frantically for a Cinco de Mayo-ish sim to take pics in and I was entirely grateful for that.  If you haven't read her blog, its very cute and lots of stories which as a rambler…I love.  Hope you all have a great weekend, don't overdo the drinking!  Hangovers are a biznitch

I saw this video on YouTube the other day that I really loved.  It gave me the idea for this blog post, but I wanted to wait until Bouncer's sim was finished because I knew it would be a good spot to take the photos.  I have to say, the sim looks so great and I'm very proud of my friend Mr. Criss for all that he's accomplished in so short a time.  There are two new pose packs out, as well as a new freebie to commemorate the new location.  The poses I used for this post are from the "Jolene" Pose Pack and both photos were taken at different parts of the Bounce This Sim. 

In addition to that, as many of you are already aware…FaMESHed has opened and seems to be doing very well!  Yay for mesh!  There are some truly talented creators taking part in this monthy event and I thought I'd show off a couple more of them.  The fact that there is both male and female items, as well as all being exclusive to the event is so exciting.  Makes it very interesting to see what designers will be bringing to the table every month.  I already can't wait until the June edition and the May has only just begun   Head on down when you've got some spare time, if you are a mesh fan its worth it!

Mesh.  I love it.  Do you love it?  If not, why?  If so, yay!  The viewers haven't been good to me the whole time, and I've only semi-recently been able to consistently blog mesh because I couldn't stay logged into a mesh viewer long enough to take photos.  The update to the FS viewer right before the one that is out now is the one I use.  I won't update unless I'm forced to, because I love it.  I wear mesh from head to toe now (literally, with the SLink mesh feet) and I wouldn't have it any other way.  If you're a fan of mesh like I am, do read on!  There's something fantastic coming our way that you just have to know about.

Beginning May 1st, a new event on the grid begins.  Different from the rest of the discount events, FaMESHed is concentrating on bringing original mesh creations to all of us mesh lovers in-world.  No templates, full and partial mesh items up for grabs every month.  Items ranging from clothing, accessories and furniture are all included and everyone involved is incredibly talented at what they do.

Rumor has it there are a few male content designers in the mix as well, so the stylish guys aren't left out.  The list on the official FaMESHed site is amazing, so many new and established brands bringing amazing work to the table.

This event is unlike any other, focusing on originality and creativity while using mesh and it seems like the fashion world is excited to see what all the creators have in store for us.  This is me, calling everyone I know to let them know that on May 1st they need to be in-world to see the tent doors open and the awesome pour out.  The dress is courtesy of a brand new label in-world.  I've known NyuNyu for a few years now, and to see her finally creating her own items and doing it so well is a very proud moment.  I'm thoroughly happy for everything that is to come from all of her hard work, so make sure you stop by and grab one or all of the colors of this great 100% mesh dress.

There's about a million events in-world that have come and gone.  Some without making much of a dent, and some that are sorely missed.  With the implementation of mesh on the grid, creators have been pulling out all their collective stops on new releases.  Accessories, clothing, furniture…the list is endless.  Everything can be made with a lot of work and imagination, not to mention the skill to create the mesh!  Designers are kicking butt and those of us that have embraced mesh are excited for all the new things all of the time.

Cracked Mirror and Vanity Mirror have created a new event that's a bit different from the rest.  Focusing on the skills of a given creator, they are organizing a monthly gathering of amazing custom mesh designs.  No templates to be had, so there will be no doubling up of items.  There seems to be a lot of positive chatter about the event already, I am personally very excited to see what can be had for the event. 

FaMESHed will being on May 1st and last for 3 weeks, until the 21st.  The designers that have signed up to take part so far, as well as information on the organizers themselves can be found on the FaMESHed site.  I'm truly honored to be given the chance to be a part of this event.  Get excited!  It's coming

When you take the time to appreciate all the seemingly insignificant things around you, what once seemed so small can seem like a huge deal.  Taking in a beautiful sunrise early in the morning, while the world is still so quiet.  Staying up late and laying in the grass…staring at the stars when everyone has gone to bed.  The thing I like the most is when I was younger, and it would snow in the middle of the night.  The streetlights looked like spotlights showing off the snowflakes, and it was so quiet and serene you could feel like you were in a trance.  Well, that's how I was anyway lol.  Once people start to wake up and cars begin to pass, the magic is kind of over.  But for those few hours when all is quiet and you can enjoy it…its worth it.  I also like standing outside when its raining in the summertime.  The mixture of the rain and the heat is something I've always been a fan of
