Simple Moments

When you take the time to appreciate all the seemingly insignificant things around you, what once seemed so small can seem like a huge deal.  Taking in a beautiful sunrise early in the morning, while the world is still so quiet.  Staying up late and laying in the grass…staring at the stars when everyone has gone to bed.  The thing I like the most is when I was younger, and it would snow in the middle of the night.  The streetlights looked like spotlights showing off the snowflakes, and it was so quiet and serene you could feel like you were in a trance.  Well, that's how I was anyway lol.  Once people start to wake up and cars begin to pass, the magic is kind of over.  But for those few hours when all is quiet and you can enjoy it…its worth it.  I also like standing outside when its raining in the summertime.  The mixture of the rain and the heat is something I've always been a fan of :P

So, now that I've rambled about a lot of nothing…have you all gone to Pose Fair yet?  This adorable birdie with the pose is a freebie from Sparrowtree Studio Poses, and pretty much is a great prop/pose for these upcoming summer months.  The second photo contains a pose from a pack available @ Cracked Mirror.  Pose Fair is 2 sims of pose/anim awesomeness so make sure you take the time to check it out and support the creators that have been working their collective assi off to bring new, wonderful poses to the grid and our photographic lives.

Sunday Morning Coffee

Pose Fair 2012 officially opens today!  From April 15th until April 30th, you are all able to sift through 2 sims and 120 stores of posing and animation awesomeness.  This is pretty much blogger mecca, I think.  Bloggers are all about poses, after all.  How else can we show off all the pretties we find around the grid?  There are props with poses, static poses, animations and I might have even seen some dances?  Couple poses, single poses, group poses…you name it!  However you like taking photos of your time in-world I am sure there is a pose set out there waiting for you to find it!

Happy Easter

So, I've got a few things to mention today and I thought what better way than scantily clad in a bunny outfit?  Being that its Easter Sunday, I think its fairly appropriate :D   Don't argue with my logic, just go with it.  The outfit first, is a fantastical Lazy Sunday item by * RezIpsa Loc * and comes in this brown as well as a pink/white version and the top comes with strapped/strapless options.  The ears and fluffy tail are included in the outfit for a mere L$75.  They're still out, so if you've got time for some last minute shopping and like to dress up go on and grab it up!  Also, I still love and adore my Slink mesh feet.  They are the best, I rarely wear shoes anymore.  Yesterday, there were men's mesh feet released so guys…your stems can look this good too (almost)!  The rigged works so friggin well with poses and AO's I can't even rave enough about these feet.  They're amazing.  Done.

Thought I'd do a little close up of the bunny face tattoo that is set for sale right next to these outfits for only L$5.  So cute!  And, of course…obligatory cleavage shot

Last, but certainly not least…the wonderful owner of the no longer in-world Olive Juice store, IsabellaGrace Baroque sent a lovely Easter gift to her subscriber group while I was in the midst of taking these photos.  So, I paused for a moment and opened the box…grabbed this here basket and took another picture just because.  I miss Olive Juice something terrible, but Pose Fair is coming up and so many wonderful pose brands will be taking part.  The pose from the first picture is part of a Pose Fair Exclusive Pack from Cracked Mirror.  Pose Fair will begin on April 15th, so save those pennies and prepare to be amazed at the incredible mesh layout of the sims!  Have a wonderful Sunday, and if you celebrate Easter….Felices Pascuas! ♥

Wear Gray 2012 – .evolve.

It's that time again!  I had so much fun blogging for Wear Gray for a Day before, and I am excited to do it once again.  An amazing cause, great and generous designers and all of the grid spending time and L$'s in support of ABTA (The American Brain Tumor Association).  I've only just begun to dig into everything you all will be able to find this year, and from what I hear there will not only be another hunt but a gacha as well.  Don't quote me on that!  Like I said, all the info is still coming in so I will be giving updates as I find things out along with pictures of goodies you can prep your wallets for purchasing.

This first set is from .evolve.  I thought it was just poses, but there is also clothing which is always a big yay!  There are single poses, couple poses and these mini skirts and off-the-shoulder sweaters.  The poses are smooth transition, and the couple poses are adorable.  I'm hoping to snag a big strong man and take a pic with at least one of them at some point :P

Get ready!  and stay tuned.  Lots more to come for Wear Gray 2012 :D lets make this year better than the last.

Bad Anjel

On the surface, she's quiet.  She seems so demure, unsure of herself and quite frankly…weak.  Obviously she's one of those goody two shoes, never had a bad attitude or said something out of turn in her whole life.  That's what you see…just an attractive woman, dressed fairly well with seemingly little substance.  If she was put in the face of danger, she would fold like a stack of cards and wait for the big strong man to rescue her.  She's the classic Damsel in Distress, unable to handle herself when the going gets tough.

Oh, but when the sun goes down and the gloves come off you find you have no idea what she's capable of.  Is she just the world's best actress?  If so, which persona is the real her…and how would you even find out?  Anjel hides in shadows, blends in with crowds and doesn't show feelings or hesitation.  She simply is.  From night to day, you might not be able to tell it was her if you hadn't seen the transformation with your own eyes.

One moment, fully covered from head to toe looking like someone's secretary or a librarian…and the next?  Oh, you'd never have guessed what was underneath all those clothes.  Curves, flesh and sexuality abound.  With guns a-blaze, she can surely handle herself in any situation.  So why the facade?  Because YOU would never think to find out who she really was, would you?  So content to be that strong, handsome man that would rescue this girl and take her away into a life of servitude.  Would you love her?  Perhaps…but the assumption of weakness would always be there.  And weak, she is not.

She will not falter.  Anjel doesn't need a man to protect her, and just maybe you need her to protect you.  Although you're a confident man, your heart has been broken before.  Drop your ego for a moment and consider she may just be the one to mend it and bring YOU back to life.  No, she doesn't need these weapons to protect herself or you.  But you have to admit, she looks damn sexy while she's holding them.

The Attic

Once I started taking these pictures, it reminded me of old vacation pics I saw once of my Great Grandmother.  Decided to go with that and make a collage type thing with all four of the poses and basically just have some fun with it. 

The Deck is having an event called The Attic.  This months theme is 1955-1960, so there are a lot of great retro items available for only 95L.  I got way more than these, but just wanted to show them off for this blog.  There is a Flickr group with all of the ad photos, you can find hair (the hair in the pics is from Exile and is also at the Attic) skin, clothing, accessories and poses.  I also got this fabulous Maitreya mesh dress, but I've seen it blogged a few times already.  Its great though, so make sure you check it out as well. 

The Attic runs from March 21st to the 31st so you've got about a week to snatch up all these amazing deals!  Head on down and buy all the things :D

Fashion for Life 2012

Every year, I look forward to both Hair Fair and FFL. Fashion for Life has been going on yearly for as far back as I can personally remember, always a huge deal with so many amazing designers coming together to support an amazing cause as well as release so many wonderful creations to the grid. Fashion for Life (also known as Relay for Life) donates to the American Cancer Society. Both the donation jars scattered around the sims as well as exclusive designs from each designer are a factor in the amount of money gathered together to help this charity. I've gone and shopped til I dropped, and also dropped a few L$ in a donation kiosk.


The donations are working slightly different this year, when you donate you are entered into a raffle that could help you to win a prize that has been generously donated by many designers participating. In addition, the sims have gacha areas set up that also donate to ACS. If I remember correctly, this year covers more sims then in the past. There are ten sims to get through, which is a lot but there is a plus side to this! I've not had any problems with lag or rezzing whatsoever. The traffic is pretty well spread out so shopping is not such a hassle as it has been in the past.


The exclusive items up for donation are beautiful, I chose a few from several designers and wanted to highlight both the formal and casual. This lovely gown is one of the donations from PurpleMoon Creations by Poulet Koenkamp. It was so hard to choose, as all four gowns are as beautiful as everything Poulet creates. I thought this was a nice, springy color so why not get in the warm weather spirit.


Then on the casual side, I stopped by Zaara and grabbed this cute top and paired it with some jeans found at the Cracked Mirror store at FFL. I think this is a great spring top, and there are several other donation items to choose from at each store as well.


Plastik to me equals fun. I find that a lot of the things I own from Plastik are just a lot of fun to wear. They can be paired with so much, and this cute top is the donation item. In addition, there is a dollarbie box located at the Plastik location which contains a bunch of great items. One of the items I found in the 1L$ box were these black skinny jeans. Can't go wrong for the price, I'd recommend trying to get to all 10 sims. There is so much to see, the sims are built so incredibly and the designers outdid themselves with donation items and new releases. Not to mention the gachas, the raffle and today's 55L offer. POWER makes em go

The Depraved Group has been crankin out the events lately.  The Depraved March Gacha Madness is still going on for a few more days, so if you haven't taken a few minutes to stop by don't forget to do that!  We are also about to start Depraved Spring Madness, and this bike is my first item that I decided to blog.  I mean, who could say no to a motorcycle with a bunny face on it, cartin along a basket of colorful eggs?  I think, no one could.  But there are so crazies out there.  The bike is from H&C and there is a female and male version.  I did rez both of them because I wanted to see the difference.  I think height and width are a big factor.  I'm pretty small I guess, so I did look slightly ridiculous on the man bike.  Riding around the sim on this thing is going to be fun, I can tell already.

While I'm at it, I'll hop off the bike and show off these new leather pants from FFL.  The sim was lag free, dang near empty and I had a blast running around through it.  The pants are a FFL exclusive from Cracked Mirror, and there are a bunch of great colors to grab.  Also, a few new poses sets one of which I got to model for (yay).  The details in them are great, I totally feel they will get my backside glanced at a bit more which I'm in favor of.  More Spring Madness info coming soon, for now hit that Gacha and FFL as well.  So many nice things to be had :D

Hello, Good Morning

Happy Saturday!  I realize I'd worn this lingerie set in another blog but didn't really touch on the fact that it is a brand new release from Gawk!  Feeding my mesh addiction, I"ve also got the new release from Elikatira.  This is a great sort of everyday hair, I like it a lot.  Its right around the same length as my RL hair and falls the same sort of way, so I think that's pretty cool.  Obviously, my hair moves LOL but I'm a fan of this mesh hair for sure. 

Fashion for Life begins today and there are 10 sims opening at 12pm SLT with fashiony goodies for all!  I have no idea how long it will take me to see everything, but I will be giving it a go!  There is a raffle to win prizes, lots of gacha machines and of course every designer has designated Relay for Life vendors.  Those vendors hold the items that were donated by all the generous creators, with the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.  FFL has been going on for years now, and I look forward to it always.  Designers seem to bring their A-game with new releases for this event so you really can't go wrong checking it out.

Its very quiet right now…very peaceful.  I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend, relax and take some time out to just enjoy life.  Simple pleasures.
